    Doing 312mm brake conversion, what discs?

    In the next few months im going to do the 312mm front brake disc conversion on my A3. All it requires is new caliper carriers from the likes of new TT, or MK5 Golf GTI etc etc, new 312mm discs and new pads. Thing is, im not sure weather to go with OEM 312mm discs and pads or aftermarket. If it was to be aftermarket, what would you recomend to me?

    hi mikey, ive just done the conversion with euro car parts front discs and ebc greenstuff pads, and the brakes are excellent, discs were about 80 and pads were about 50 ish, hth

    cheers mate, where did you get the carriers from? Im struggling to find used ones, and new ones are like 129 a pair!

    why not do the 345 r32/a3 3.2 /s3 stuff - breakers and ebay prices usually around 150-200 for full front setup

    I've got the 345mm too... Awesome brakes.

    They've got the edge over my aunts 312mm set up on her TT id say and we both changed our pads at the same time :D

    The part no's were for the r32 calipers which are blue.

    you can get LCR ones which are red

    And S3 which are black

    They're all pretty much the same, the s3 just has a diffferent plate at the front which is 21+VAT frm audi each side

    From Seat, you can get everything for the front conversion for 555 delivered (brand new)

    I'm getting a A3 2.0t S Line in a few weeks and was wondering if this comes with 312's or 280's as stock? Got a 312 set up in the garage that was waiting to be fitted to my Ibiza.
