Have you tried Midland VW in Cannock?

http://www.midlandvw.com/

I would highly recommend them, they are they only people I would trust to work on my car.

I always use Midland VW too, I only let Jody and the boys touch my car!

Another vote for Midland VW....it's worth travelling to.

dont rule out stafford audi, not far from cannock and there great, and cheap.

My car come from Stafford Audi, because its 4 years olf they have fixed servicing at £195 which is cheap considering!

why dont you go for the varibale service? its cheaper dont you think, every 2 years or 20000 miles which ever comes first, i had it done 2 years back i paid £260, and 4 weeks ago for £235

No idea about leaving it 2 years to be honest, the mileage i do and the thrashing it gets, on variable it would be in every 6 months! :lmfao:

so with the fixed service do you still go by the dis, or do the audi give you a fixed date for the service, meaning just say you serviced it today so next time next year at this date you would have it serviced regradless of the mileage?

dont most of us use the varible service or the fixed one?or am i the only one who uses the varible one lol

ok on the ebay shop , they got a bronze one for £79 and the gold one for £189, so which one to go for,and why go for the bronze or gold, and vice versa

I think it just proves how some garages rip you off!

My Auntie payed £780 for a cambelt and full service on here mk4 golf GTI at her local VW dealer. I was astonished so i asked to see the receipts. They charged her £510 for the cambelt and £270 for the longlife service. :wtf:

The service consisted of oil/filter, air filter, pollen filter, the rest was just inspection. I looked at the receipt for the cambelt and they had charged £280 in labour (4 hours at £70 an hour)

It seriously wound me up so I asked around other garages and most were saying 2 hours for the cambelt and 1.5 hrs for the service. I decided to go down and speak to the manager on her behalf, its a long story but 2 weeks later i got a cheque from them for £270 and a letter virtually admitting to ripping her off!

Luckily I knew all about the cons as my dad was a service manager for a Vauxhall dealer for 22 years :whistle2:

another vote for Midland VW - definately worth the trek

i went for the £79 one as the rest was mainly checks and just wanted the piece of mind and my book stamping.
will deffo have the cambelt changed there though.
the silver service was £125 whic only consited of a bronze plus a pollen filter, i bought one there for £14 and they put it in whilst servicing for free.BARGAIN!!
i was going to have it serviced at my local audi garage but they quoted me about £200, they couldnt even supply me the parts for the price of the stafford service.
cant believe the dealers can get away with it !
not a big dealer fan at all but big up to stafford, they were great and at a price no one minds paying.

another thing when is the cambelt due on the 2.0tdi 60k or 80k, because i am getting different answers, and one thing that i really dont understand is the air filter and fuel filter, when does it get changed?, the cars i had before every service they got changed, so whats the deal with the a3

i'd have to say midland vw. i've been there and not been dissapointed. you know that they're not the type to mess you around or rip you off for that matter. didnt know this many people went there though. good to know.

Midland VW was the first place i visited when i got my S3, they did my Cambelt for me in an afternoon and no hassle with them either, deffo get a thumbs up and recommendation from me...it is a bit of a trek for me, but is deffo worth it for the piece of mind and pricing as well.

Another vote for Midland VW here. I live only a couple of miles away so he is closer than a dealer, but he did all the servicing on my SEAT Ibiza. He also did the wheel bearings on my brothers Polo.

I plan to take the Audi there once the warranty is out. (Just so Audi won't argue if anything goes wrong before.)

If you don't want to pay dealer prices but still get a service stamp in the book then, go to him.
