Guys,

Just installed the RNS-E again but it has come with a 2006 map disk which doesn't have TMC enabled. I had the 2007 disk with my earlier one...

So; I'm looking around for map disks, and I keep coming across Audi MMI ones, which are suggested for the A4/RS4/Allroad/Q7/S8 etc..
will that work?

for instance this one:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Audi-MMI-DVD-...39:1|66:4|65:12|240:1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

I'm guessing no, but I just wanted a second (or maybe even a third) opinion.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Issac; got confused by the fact that it say Audi MMI on the screen whenever i fire it up!

Also, one more question...do you happen to know how I can get my RNS-E (which is a retrofit) to display the S3 logo when i turn on the ignition? Is that a VAG COM setting?

Thanks!

Marc will that disc sort out my nav from freezing every few days?
I have the original disc with 550 sw in at the moment

I would create a 650 firmware update disc & update firmware before buying a new dvd to see if firmware will fix this freezing issue, navplus.us is best place for RNS info, Dirk(aka AudiA4B6US) is main man & also PetrolDave very helpful.

LOL thanks Nigel but i find it hard enough to turn the computer on never mind creating firmware updates lol thought this disc might sort it nice and easy

How often are the map discs updated, and does anyone know where one can get South African discs from?

Probably will but no guarantees, thats why I suggested the free option before spending money, but the good thing is the cheap copy Marc has shown will give you upto date maps, just hope it fixes the problem you mention fella, good luck.
