Hi all,

I have been reading many posts with people remapping, some having problems and some not. I would like to try and keep this a clean thread i.e select your remap, then only

- Post only figures you achieved
- Problems you have / had and how you fixed the problem.
- Also if you have any other engine modifications.

Try to be breif.

Hope this makes sense.

Not had it remapped yet - but its looking more and more like a revo remap !

Figures: 315 HP, 300 ft/lb torque measured with VAGCOM
Issues: None to date
Other mods: None
 
GIAC Hammer map
No figures yet, but should have figures from the Regal Rolling Road day on the 4th Oct
No issues after 4000 miles
Other mod's include BMC panel filter and Carbonio intake
 
REVO
342bhp + 344lbft
No problems
Forge CAI + Milltek TBE

Also (on same car):

SuperChips
298bhp + 333lbft
No problems
No other mods

185 kw (255 bhp) at the wheels
210 kw (288 bhp) measured on VAGCOM

**** All at 1600m above sea level
**** 95 RON
**** SA spec = 188kw (258 bhp)

Software only
No issues/problems
 
I have a Superchips Custom Remap on my S3. VAG COM says that it has 385 PS (that's around 379 bhp) running on 100 RON fuel. Had a Wetterauer Remap before, it was good but the Superchips one is much smoother with less overboost and also more powerful.

Other mods: Milltek Exhaust, APR Fuel Pump, EVO MS intake.

No issues.

Don't know power. Don't trust the vag.com figures.

No RR figures but from how the car drives Im sure the car is achieving at least REVOs figures of 300bhp

REVO with no other mods yet!
No problems to date but early days yet.

Soon though, Milltek TBE and an upgraded CAI.
 
GIAC: 7000 miles, 310bhp, 317ft lb torque plus another 2000 miles with Miltek non-resonated cat back ............ 9000 miles no problems.
 
Not remapped yet (but GIAC booked in for the Southern RR Day in October ;) )
Other mods: Carbonio Intake & BMC Panel Filter

Trying to decide if its worth the potential warranty,insurance hassles and cost.
 
Hi Guys,

sorry to interupt but i just thought i'd mention that vagcom power figures are ok on a standard car but it dosen't allow for cars requestng more power than in their standard guise, so can give some very spiradic and inaccurate figures.

hope this is of some help!
 
Stock: 255hp factory, 250hp ,338 Nm on the dyno
Remap: Superchips
Figures: 278 HP, 408 Nm on the dyno
Issues: None to date
Other mods: drop in K&N
 
Remap: was giac hammer now giac star
figures: no true figures yet.
issues: hammer map requesting too much boost, rectified with star map, misfire problem causing misfire at 6500rpm not yet sorted, not map related but highlighted by map (possibly injectors).
other mods: drop in bmc.
 
Revo remap dont know exact figures though but so far no issues...
just fitted Forge CAI AND Forge D/V yesterday also no problems....

mtm remap 328bhp no problems(apart from spark plugs)2010 s3
 
Would you be selling the mtm bimoto's separately ?
if so give me first dibs on them mate .
 
sparkplug issues again fitted ngk iridium ones and 2k later the fault is back any ideas car has done 12k mtm map at 7k now needs third set of plugs?
 
Coilpacks try changing them mate
