VAG-COM in South Yorkshire ?

Just had BOSE removed and had aftermarket kit fitted but now need GALA en-ableing via vag-com.

Anyone in the area that could do a good deed for some beer or cash ?

Will be posting pics of new install inc my custom made sub box c/w JL 8" sub behind original trim.

what head unit do you have? you can enable GALA from the system menu on most Audi head units.

Have RNS-E which did have BOSE + audio pilot thus no option for GALA in menu.

The RNS-E needs re-coding for GALA

You might want to experiment with removing the Bose wire so you don't get the Bose EQ settings. Although I'm unsure if the EQ is done in the RNSe or the now removed Bose amp. Does anyone know for sure?

Yes I need to disconnect the BOSE wire, some views are that it alters the EQ from the RNS-E and en-ables the internal amp (not used in my install) others say that the EQ can only be altered through coding.
Either way I need to en able GALA as was done through BOSE audio pilot which is now removed.

Just disconnected the BOSE wire and can confirm it sounds miles better , both Bass and treble control on the RNS-E work !

Disconnect BOSE wire = Better sound , better EQ
