Swapping Springs Over

Ok here is a question for you. Hopefully somebody can answer it as I'm not too sure. As you know I bought an A3 Sport and had ABT lowering springs installed. As a result I am now left with the original springs. They are sitting collecting dust in the garage. My freind has a standard A3 which sits very high and he would like to use the springs from my Sport as he doesn't want his car to sit quite as low as mine.

Is this possible? Will the springs make any difference in height? Will the springs from my Sport actually lower his standard A3? It sits like a Q7!!

Please advise as we want to do this today or tomorrow!

doesnt it all depend on the weight ratings of the springs tho? ie for example a 2.0tdi spring will be different weight rating to a 1.6 petrol?

God knows but both cars have the same engines if that is any help. Any ideas anybody?

I would say it would be ok as long as your mates car does not weigh that much heavier than yours!

The sport springs sit 15mm lower than standard. Search the forum there are loads of threads on springs.
