Paint frame around S-line grille or not?

I have just received my black S-line front grille for my Sportback. The frame around the grill is black plastic. Do you reckon it will be better to have it painted - will it be better protected that way, or should I just leave it as it is?

No point in painting it, doesn't need protecting, so wouldn't bother.

Ok, I was just thinking that chips of plastic might fall of the frame when hit by small rocks and stuff.

Do these black s line grills fit into a standard SE bumper with the standard grill removed?
If not is a all black grill available and if so where and how much?
    TIA

The S-line grille and standard grille are the same size so it should fit the standard bumper and vica versa.

There is an all black non-S-line grille with the part no 8P4 853 651 WMZ. The all black S-line grille is 8P4 853 651 D WMZ.
