    Milltek Pics on a 2.0TDI?

Does anyone have any pics of the milltek tail pipes actaully on the car of the A3 2.0TDI twin jet style pipes? Ive been on the Milltek site and the pics they show on a A3 are a huge oval style one which IMO looks gash.

only a miltek and panel filter
the results are at the flywheel
and at the wheels it is 141bhp

I wouldnt expect an exhaust and panel filter to give an extra 18bhp above stock power when even stock engines are not even 140bhp

The panel filter will give little if any bhp - it will only let the car rev a bit quicker than normal

The exhaust will give a similar result to the panel filter - if you have the resonated box you are just minus a silencer

In my opinion, you should get a second opinion - I have been on 3 sets of rollers with my car, mods include:
    • Remap
    • Green Panel filter (recommended by awesomegti Mikey)
    • Miltek
    results were as follows:

190bhp 310l/ft - which I did not believe in the slightest and had to listen to the guff I was told which was funny "thems strong engines sur!"

    175bhp 302lb/ft - more believeable

    173bhp 290lb/ft - conclusive

In my opinion, the car is wasted with power excessing 175/180 bhp, a few members and a number of friends have had their maps detuned because the TC kicks in all the time and clutch ware occurs

Kaz219 - I do not have a video of the miltek on my car, its just like any other exhaust. i opted for the resonated one (louder of the two) and it isnt even loud. comapred to the peco big bore 4 i had on my old clio this exhaust is extrememly tame. perfect fit, looks good and from the cabin while accelerating, it sounds good.

However, depending on your style, if you opt for the resonated box, the exhaust will "coooo." this is a result of turbo stall when comming off boost - it isnt a bad thing, you will just get a "cooooooo" noise from the exhaust when accelerating hard and letting off as the boost comes on.

This annoys some people and some others really take the piss with thier diesel exhausts and put a straight through pipe on and it will coooo and moooo all day lol

    And lighter too lol

It is an excellent peice of kit, very well put together and matches perfectly to the holes

the only downside - which you can see in a3 mart's pics is that is drops down a bit at the end where it comes out of the bumper

what you do there is you get a large, fat cable tie and put it round the rubber support bracket - you will see what i mean when you get under there

I will try get a pic later - it will level the exhaust perfectly!

i am going to have another rolling road in oct (if not before) so i will let you know the results

as you say different rolling roads will throw up different results
but shoud they not all be calibrated to a set standard

good idea about the tailpipe i will have a play later

i also have the none resonated on and it is quiet on tickover but sounds pretty good in tunnells

Was a bloody good deal that Awesome had on. Sadly i didnt have enough funds to purchase the whole lot, so I went away emtpy handed. Then monday it dawned on me that I should of ordered either just the down-pipe or the exhaust on sunday(whatever I could of afforded at that time) to get the huuuuuge discount. Skool boy error on my part.

You showing at Tatton mate? Im doing the concours. Gonna be tough but i'll be ready!
