    Anyone here fitted a Milltek with the downpipe to the 2.0TDI?

    Im thinking of getting bluefin later this year and was also interested in the milltek system with the downpipe. Has anyone here had this exhaust and downpipe fitted to their 2.0TDI? Im wondering weather or not its a worthwhile thing to do as regards to cramming a bit more power out?

    Yes I did this mod. You aren't likely to gain a huge amount of BHP, probably 5 - 10bhp on a diesel but the car will drive and sound better, turbo spool up is noticeably quicker and the car sounds less 'diesel' like, I had the full system with non-resonated back box.

    Another plus is the jet style pipes look much better than the oem downturned ones without looking after market.

    thanks mate. The car wasnt over-loud with the non resonated back box was it? Also noticed in your signature that you have/had a green panel filter for your A3? where can I get one of them? Cheers.

    Not a great deal louder than standard which was one of my requirements, just a deeper more resonate sound on full chat.

    I got the filter from JBS (Custom code) in chesterfield via post - approx 40 from memory.

    I was at GTI Inters this weekend and spoke to one of the guys at Custom Codes - was quite unsure what to make of them. Did you get your car mapped there? if so, what is it kicking out?

    Mine sounds million times better than standard i have decat milltek non resonated full sustem including back box from turbo all the way down also my turbo spool is proper loud when diving around pedestrians turn heads to see what is coming, and if my foot slips and touches accelerator abit hard i get a load sharp rumbling boise which definatly gets heads turnin, also my car sounds totally different from standard diesels, i rate the exhaust 10 out if 10

    Yeah i got full miltek on mine and decat i had a mk1 golf turbotechnics once, reminds me of how that sounded not like a derv at all. A stage 2 turbo makes it sound even better too
