Auto Door Locking

Hi,

Had a new S3 as a courtesy car and that had the auto locking feature i.e once you drive the doors locked.

Want to add this feature to my 3.2 a3 2005 how can this be done?

You can do it through VAG-COM, do you know anyone who has got it? Or if not then someone who lives nearby you will most probably have it as a large number of members have access to Vag - COM.

Oh and also S3 for a courtesy car?! which dealer did you use????
 
As above - you can do it with VAGCOM. My MY07 A3 had it set when it left the factory but I have enabled it on my old MY04 A3 and several MkV Golfs.

There are two settings - one is Auto Lock which locks above 12mph and the other is auto-unlock which unlocks the doors when you remove the key from the ignition.
 
Ah cool but dont have VAG-COM.... Im in North Yorkshire :)

I'm sure there'll be somebody living nearby that will have it and offer to do it in exchange for some beer tokens.

Failing that, you could try to persuade your dealer to do it for you.

I'm in South Yorkshire (Rotherham) with Vag-com if anyone wants to do this!

Might be good to have a sticky with members and their locations willing to aid people with Vag-com?
 
Theres a post on the 8L forum, put your name up on there, theres a list of people on there that have Vagcom and dont mind helping others....
