Ordered an EVOMS heat shield + an engine cover from them on the 5th of July.
Got a mail saying:
We have received and are processing the following order.
3 days later they took the money from my credit card, although in there
conditions they state:
When confirmation of order is received, this
is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate
that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your
order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We
have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has
been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we
are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In
the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to
ensure that the price is acceptable.
I take it the mail I received is the confimation of order mail, meaning
that a contract doesnt exist yet between us. But they took my money.
Wrote them a mail some days ago to ask when I could expect delivery and
havnt got a reply yet.
This thing start to get really annoying.
Anyone got any direct contacts?

I phoned them Tuesday this week about an engine cover,they were very helpful,saying they were out of stock,but should be in any day.
I shouldn't worry too much,give them a call just to put your mind at rest!

Havent called them yet. I thought in our modern times it wouldnt be asked to much to answer a mail (and saving me the phonecosts to call into the UK).
I dont want to sound too dramatic after all, but its just strange they dont follow their own policies.
You would think that, but I know from dealing with VAGParts that they are about 3 days behind with their emails due to the volume they receive.
If I'm after something urgent I usually give them a call and get dealt with straight away. If it is just a general query for a part or something trivial I'll bung off a mail knowing that it will take a few days for a response.
You might find that their ordering process is automated so that when you place an order you get a confirmation mail - they won't have a monkey sitting there typing them by hand.
Your best bet is to give them a call.
The two head honcho's are out of the country (at GIAC) at the moment, as I'm waiting to here there offer for a rolling road day.

I must have missed the original when going back through emails after i came back from the USA. But there's no excuse for that, I can only apologise
There was a delay in the covers coming over from the USA but yesterday I had confirmation that they have shipped so they should be with all back-order customers very shortly, I'll contact you with a shipping number when it leaves us.
