S3 Facelift now on Audi UK Configurator!

not been around for a while now that the S3 has gone.

have got me a 07 plate A3 Sline Sportback in silver, quite like it actually, not an S3 but hey!

Re the new S3:

Nice car, I like the new wheels too, the twin spoke ones.

Maybe will try to pick a nearly new one up when they have been out for a while, towards the winter.

They have - 199 for the 3 door and 201 for the sportback - they just haven't updated it yet....

No sign of the sportback on the configurator yet either.......

Yep, that's definitely the new rates for the facelift. IIRC, doesn't that put them in difference VED bandings?

That will mean VED from 2010 of £270 and £310 repectively if the current proposals go through.

The S3 Sportback is on the configurator. Just click on the A3 link and it lists all 4 models:A3, A3 Sportback, S3 and S3 Sportback

The S3 Sportback looks as if it has all the right info and prices.

They have, it's just that Audi UK seem to be utterly incapable of displaying correct, up-to-date information. Their incompetence is really astounding. I don't know who is in charge of updating and looking after the configurator, but they should be moved elsewhere in the company!

It's really frustrating speccing a new car when you can't be 100% sure of the information and prices that are presented. Luckily the downloadable price guide seems correct, but it's harder to fiddle around with different specs.

Well it's nearly correct.............if you look at the S3 dimensions towards the back of the PDF it doesn't show the S3, it shows a normal A3.

Also the configurator has 7 arm twin spoke alloys (the new S-line standard wheels) as a no cost option on the S3, the PDF does not have these wheels. So yet again Audi UK managed to make an **** of it!!

They probably farm it out to a bunch of so called IT specialists/Web experts. The original configurator software is the same as the one used on the Audi Germany site. It seems to loose something in the translation.

It's certainly not listed in the PDF version of the Price and Spec document.

Perhaps Audi have decided that driving and watching TV is no longer a good idea!!!

It may well be an option if Germany, but that does not mean you can order it for a UK car. For example the new Xenon headlights with LED DRLs are available as an option on any model of A3 in Germany but Audi UK will only order them as an option on an S-Line and they are standard on the S3. I have already been in touch with them and they say they will not accept an order for them as an option on any other A3s. Seems likes the UK driver is going to miss out, again.

Hmmm, I can't see there being a tv button on a device that will never even work.

I would imagine if you push for I don't want an option with a functionless button
