A3 Engine Cover

Hi guys.

Just a quick question for you. I gave my car a good cleaning last week and thought I'd get under the bonnet too. Is the engine cover clipped securely in place or does it just sit on top of the engine? It seems as tho mine lifts straight off! Not sure if this is supposed to be like that so thought I'd check!

Looking at ETKA there are no screws, clips or bolts listed. Looks as if it just sits snugly around the top of the engine.

Have a look at the back of the engine - there should be a clip on the cover that sits underneath a braket - this sometimes gets missed and the cover is then loosely fitted.

Thanks guys. I didnt know if they broke it when it went in for that fuel pipe change so thought I'd ask before I went ringing them! Will check for that clip at the back Boydie. Ta
