Right ECU/Slip-ring for cruise?

Have just retro fitted cruise and programmed ECU via VAG.COM but nothing seems to be happening!

Just wondering if I need to change ECU's?

I have 8PO 953 549 G but know there is another ECU for a two door that ends in J instead of G.

Any ideas on you guy's who have fitted it themselves?

What year A3 do you have? DSG? MFSW?

Did you code the engine ECU (engine 01) to tell it you have fitted cruise?

Where in South Yorkshire are you. Im not far from Sheffield

2004 Reg (Actually 2005) No DSG or MFSW and re-coded ECU to 01

Just actually noticed , The kit I've got has a single control system cable that I've missed connecting up. Think I need to do this before going any further. . . . Will keep you posted :thumbsup:
