S3 Service Interval Check

My S3 went in for its first service last week. I checked the service interval on the DIS when I got it back and all I have a series of horizontal lines, no mileage or date for the next service is displayed.

Is this correct and does it just take time for the DIS to recalculate the numbers, or has the dealer forgoten to reset the service interval?

I think it takes 500 miles or so to work out when the next service is due; certainly is the case from new, so would assume that it would be true after a reset as well?

Yes that is correct, it takes time to work out the driving style and recalculate the next service.
