Hi There

I am hopng you guys are able to point me in the right direction.
One of our customers has just managed to blow his engine in a 2004 S3.

We feel it is probably a more cost effective way to find another short engine and put it in rather than rebuild the engine.

Also the customer has asked what "Cams" are available as we may as well put in some fast road cams while we are at it.

Is the engine form a 2004 S3 the same as the Audi TT and I guess there maybe a golf derivative also ?

Help Please as it is all gratefully recieved.

Does your customer have a remap? If he doesnt, he will love you after you put a remap and a full exhaust!
 
He has had a remap just prior to the engine goign bang. Remap done by superchips and it had a misfire but now engine gone and superchips dealer saying nothing to do with him or the superchip so he has got to pay for the rebuild and we are trying to help him out and get a 2nd hand engine adn drop it in.
 
Get a GOOD remap and exhaust and I think that will be enough!
 
The big end went on my 01 S3 and it was cheaper to buy a new short block direct from Audi rather than a complete rebuild.

Cost was around £2600 for the block plus labour and other bits, ended up costing me just shy of £4k
