Aluminium Accelerator Pedal

Thinking of upgrading to one these.

Has anyone fitted one?

Is it a case of a couple of screws and "hay-presto" or are there more sinister connections/wires at work?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thats just a link to the shop homepage.


If it's the Gti accel pedal it's a very easy swap along with the other pedal covers. Fitting is pretty straightforward. Undo a couple of screws, remove the cable connector. Takes a bit of brute force to do though.

i did this not so long ago - was a bit of a pain, as i didnt really know what i was doing. removing the cable of a nightmare at first, but sorted in the end.

It's not too bad a job. Just make sure you fully press in the release catch until it clicks. Then the cable comes out easily.

A little how to can be found here. You can't buy them from audi-accessories any more but they are available on vagparts.com.
