Are these removable? One of mine (the volume one) feels a bit funny when i turn it - wondered if its a simple thing to replace or the whole stereo has to be replaced??

Only a minor thing but it annoys me!

Yes you can replace them but you cannot buy them individually from Audi.

fair enough but maybe something i can fix myself - it feels to me like the ally bit is slightly loose from the inner plastic bit - but i could be wrong

I don't think I could own a carstereo that cannot be controlled from the steering wheel - at least the volume and the stations.

My advice - consider a MFSW upgrade.

He may already have MFSW? I have it but I also use the buttons on the radio itself sometimes.
