ECU update?

I was reading some old threads that were about a update for the ECU, but not every car needed it!

There was no conclusive age/buld date for the cars that needed it?

I want to get it sorted before i think about a remap.

Should i just ring up the dealer ask about the update , give them my VIN number and see what they say?

Why not, it's called "recall 24H8 - Software update" they can let you know either way.
