Phantom's phantom!

That looks stunning phantom! Glad you got it all sorted in the end.

Be careful though, I live in a reasonably decent part of Stockport imho and I had the mirror caps stolen whilst it was sat on my drive. It's now always kept in the garage out of sight which gives me a bit more peace of mind.

Interesting about the shooting, as a couple of months ago I was driving just outside Manchester city centre and I was flashed by a following VW Golf which proceeded draw up alongside me and whilst I was still driving, the driver asked my passenger who was driving the car a few days ago - think there is some one with a blue one as well who may be a bit unsavoury!

On another post, I have been under the runaway in both my car and the demonstrator and mine sounded both better and louder. But the Focus ST's five-pot sounded better to be honest. (Can only imagine what the TT-R will sound like :hubbahubba: .) A four cylinder engine can only sound so good but it is made up for by the hisses from the dump valve and the decent exhaust note.

Anyway, enjoy it, I'll keep an eye out for you on my travels.

Hiya mate, where you from?

Did they unscrew your caps or take the full mirrors?

As soon as my Phantom caps come ( next week ) i'm swapping them over?

Cheers mate

We have a place in Abersoch, North Wales, so a few trips over the Bala windy roads are in order in the better weather!

phantom, PM sent regarding location.

They didn't take the full mirrors but broke the mirror glass in the process and also didn't unscrew the second mirror cap off neatly either so not sure if they were removed fully intact. I was concerned they might come back again but all has been well since (using the garage probably helped).

I'm going up town tonight , and coz i haven't got my Phantom caps yet i'm gonna put bin bags over the wing mirrors! LOL

It's good to get a base plot before you start moding , then you'll now what gains each mod made for you , ect!

Have you got any pics of your car with the spacers on?

Cheers mate

Hi Mate

U got any photos yet, as pick my Phantom up on 1st March, and getting 10mm spacers fitted too, interested to see yours!

Right in what you say, I very rarely see other S3's on the road, which I am happy about, unlike Rangrover, sorry, Landrover Sports, see about 25 a day!

Enjoy:icon_thumright:

One other thing. Beware the Burd s**t. Always been a fan of black cars. Last three Audi's all Phantom Black. However Decided on Dolphin Grey and not a phantom S3 for two reasons.

1. Murder to keep clean/any marks come out white(small scratches etc)
2. Audi Paint/Burd S**t.

I got one large nasty corrosive burd S**t on my sportback on the middle of the roof. Now i normally clean off straight away but didn't get to it until after 2 days. By that time damage was done.
Didn't matter what i tried the mark was always there. It totally pi**ed me off.
Black cars are the worst as no other colours would show up as bad. Audi paint formula is now no longer what it once was. Probably an enviromental friendly option now. Water based i think or believe.

I claimed warranty but it was touch and go. I freely admitted the problem but complained it should never had such bad an effect on the paintwork. They brought in a specialist to review and he sided with me saying that it really had taken it down to the metal work and the paint/laquer should have offered better protection.

Full roof re-spray later. Good but left me with the warning of never never let it go untreated for more than hours. Preferably right away.

Dolphin Grey has been a nice change for me and happy with that. Understated stealth. Got the Autoglym treatment thrown in for nothing so might not be the best aftermarket paintwork protection but its a start and buys me time if i return to my car after burd bombing run.

BEWARE THE BURD S**T but enjoy one of the best stealthiest stealthy thing on the roads.

Hey Phantom, your pics were taken on my in-laws road, i'll have to keep an eye out for you mate! :icon_thumright:
