Hi all

My A3 2.0 TDi new Shape 03 is coming up to 80k.

This may be a stupid question but with my £656 service due aswell I really need to know.

Is it common that after 80k they are coming to their lifes end.

Its only been slipping a couple of days would you recommend I get it done with my service (Is it of the upmost importance).

Many Thanks guys

Anthony.

If you want to pay audi prices - personally I think you are mad, go to a VAG specialist!

My clutch is also slipping very slightly but only on low rev, high gear so I am ignoring it for the now and havent had a problem with it in a while since I have changed my driving style

Although, damage could happen to the flywheel if it is really bad which is something you do not want since the A3 uses a dual mass flywheel which is a nightmare to change and expensive to replace (even though it is crap!!!)

Thanks mate.

How long do you thing I should leave it before I replace it.

I know its hard to tell.

Having just driven it again, I'm not sure if it is slipping or not.

The only evidence i have is three times where it has "juddered" on pulling away. but this only happens when pulling off my drive first thing in the morning.

any ideas.
