Hey all,

My Dad has a 2.0Tdi on a 54 plate, he says recently he has returned to the car on 3 occasions and both front windows have been fully down.

Any one had anything similar?

Window regulators? - was a HUGE issue with Mk4 Golf and the 8L A/S3's...I had it go on both sides of my S3 in 5 months.

You would have thought they'd have started using metal retainer clips in the newer cars though...can't say i've had any issue thus far.

Sounds like he's leaning on the unlock button of his remote key. When pressing and holding the lock/unlock button on the A3 the windows go up/down. This is a factory programmed convience function.

Which can be switched off btw if it is a big problem for him.

No- he is returing to the car and the windows are down. Just bliping it once to lock and unlock as usual, not keeping his finger on it and walking off...:tapedshut:
