Hi,

I am looking at swapping my current 2.0t s-line for an s3,

My friend has an 8L one in green, looking through the brochure it states green as a colour but i cant find a picture anywhere, including the very helpful sticky at the top of the page,

Can someone let me know if they actually exist or if im making it up?

something fairly close to brg on an S3 would look awesome :)

I used to have a 'dragon green' Golf Gti.
Definitely one of the best colours I've owned.
Audi exclusive option (£1500) says you can match any colour you like.
So if you want the same as your mates 8L, you can have it.

quite like the black with the black optics pack on it.. (currently have lava grey A3, which is alright too)

i wont pay 1500 for a paint job tho, rather spend the money on toys on the inside... my first car was a similar green so maybe thats where it comes from...

Just miffed that the brochure (and even the online audi configmethingy) allows you to pick green as a metalic colour but no one has one...

By jove, you're right.
Deep green.
Looks like Dragon green too.
Nice.

Can't find any pics of S3 in deep green, but there are a few normal A3's in deep green on autotrader.
FWIW, it's nothing like dragon green.
It appears to be very deep, almost black.

BRG is a great colour as was the Lhaso green on the original GT1's.

Not sure i'd pay £1,500 for the privilege though, but at least it will be unique.

Thanks for that bowfer, im going to have a look on autotrader and see if i can a standard A3 in the same colour,

cheers

I guess thats the colour, couldnt find any decent pictures past the 05 face lift.... hummm,

1500 on a personal paint job is a lot of mular and would mean buying brand new... probably end up with black then, shame cause brg would look nice

they used to do a reed green which looked nice, unsure what type the one above is... (almost looks pearlescent)

bah

Before I got my old S3 I was going to get a brand new A3 2.0Tdi as a company car and I specified the lifestyle paint option. The dealer said it was only meant for Audi colours but I wanted Porsche rivera blue (don't ask!) and he said it wouldn't be a problem although they couldn't promise an exact colour match.

YOU DID!! WOAH!!! :keule:

Don't do green. It will cost you when you come to sell. Just look at the values of green TT's vs Black and Silver ones!!

i hear you re the resale value... probably best going for black i guess... ill keep my eyes peeled.

My mate has a 968 in rivera blue, it looks like a 1970s bathroom colour.
I just know I'm gonna get flamed for that comment.....

Could only find this on the Audi configurator...

LB -----Looks OK when it's dark!!

Black Black or Black please

I also had Dragon Green but only on my 6n Polo 1.4 16v. Looked amazing but don't think it suits a more modern car to be honest which is why your probably getting negative feedback with it on an S3...

But seriously, don't go for it =/

rather have that green than black white or silver anyday - its a matter of personal taste - its your car have what YOU like - basically take no notice of what anyone else says - including me!!!

how about half an A3?

On a side note, you might want to have a look at the "sportec S3". I think it is a very very dark green, but i might be wrong.
