Hi everyone,

I have a wierd problem in my car. In the passenger footwell there is cold air blasting out right from the back, it is not from the normal vents, does anybody know or experienced this? The temp does not change with the climate control, which makes me think it has nothing to do with the climate control system.

Thanks

Does the A3 have an option of a coolbox in the glovebox?

There should be a blanking plug in the hole where the pipe that supplies the coolbox comes out of the climate control chamber - if that's missing you get chilled air blown into the passenger footwell regardless of the temperature setting (the outlet is after the air con chiller but before the heater matrix).

Some VAG cars have the pollen filter in this area, my A2 did.
