Hi,

My A3 is due its 2nd service within the next couple of months. The car will be sitting at about 33k.

I believe the DSG/S tronic oil is recommended to be changed every 40k miles. Seeing as my following service will not happen until about 50k (going by current intervals) should I get the oil changed now at 33k? This will save a visit to the dealers at 40k.

Also do you know if the DSG/S tronic oil change is included as a normal part of service?

Thanks in advance.

Second service at 33k?
Did your service thing come on?
My car's at 34500, no indication of 2nd service needed.
I'm dreading it, because the car's going away soon.
I'd rather we (the company) didn't have to pay for another one.

DSG Oil and Filter Service is a seperate Service item and not included.

Personally I'd wait and do it at 40K myself, unless you don't want the car in twice. How long will it take you to do the 7K ?

You can see from the service indicator on the DIS when the service due. Mine is due in 2900 miles.

Thanks, I do about 30k a year so about 2.5K per month so 7k would take me nearly 3 months.

Hmmm, tempted to get it done when the car goes in for the service.
