Here we go again, and the same old faces too

Personally, I park in a single bay wherever is safest for my car. Occasionally this includes disabled bays, but only in the following conditions, which would also apply to P&C spaces.

    - There are more than half of the spaces available.
    - I'm not staying for a siginificant period of time (eg grabbing a sandwich).
    - I park in the furthest bay away in that zone.

I'm comfortable doing this, and if the above criteria is not met, then its off to the back of the car park.

I'm sure you're a bloody nice bloke, but you are admitting to what I, and I'm sure many others in society, would say is dickhead behaviour.
It might seem petty to you, but I would say it's just as petty to be so obsessed with your motor that you're willing to admit to completely selfish, if not illegal, practices.

Haha, fair cop, my bad, guess I was just sinking a few levels, but it was said in jest.

Also, just to calm things down, I'd never cause malicious damage to anyones car, and I'd probably never cause intentional bodily harm to anyone off the rugby pitch. That doesn't stop me from threatening to though, I'm a gentle giant really.

Forget about the parking issue in this thread ,seems to be a moral issue
" Im aright jack " f--k everyone else
Same issues in life nowadays, selfish people.
And why would anyone park in a m+c space and think their car is safer, other end of the car park for me and thats in my old astra est.

That said, I still generally don't park in them, the exception being if it's 11pm at night and the place is empty and thus there's no harm in parking in them to be close to the entrance when you want to nip in quickly. What I have noticed lately is parents with children of any age using them. They're supposed to be for those with children young enough to be in child seats, as the extra space is intended to aid them extracate their children from said seats. If your kids are old enough to not need a seat and be able to get out of the car themselves, you're not entitled to use them you ****wits!
Help me understand the `You ****wits` comment, if you will.

I have a 6yr old who can get out of the car unaided but still uses a booster seat as its a legal requirement.

However its not that easy for a 6 yr old to open the door (on a 3 door car) get out of a booster seat and guarantee to not to open it too far onto the adjacent car.

To be sure this doesnt happen and the adjacent car isnt damaged, Supermarkets etc..have provided family spaces, perfect for my situation.

In my current situation, family spaces, dont necessarily make it any easier to get myself and family in and out of the car, but in fact protect other peoples cars !!
Its was true though when the little one was in a baby seat, and it does make it easier for the parents to remove the nipper, but more importantly it helps prevent the door being shoved with there arse into the next car.

So its not about being privileged (as mentioned), its about common sense and basic respect for others and there property.

I have a cherised 8P S3 and would sincerely hope that other familys stick to these designated spaces so that my car isnt not damaged in then scenario Ive described.
For this reason, I NEVER use a family space if Im shopping on my own, and the fact its damn rude.

And yes I park my car as far away from the herds as possible but some people still pull right alongside, these are the real `****wits` IMO.

How many have had to get their jeans dirty sqeezing down the side of a scruffy LWB Pajero parked 10mm from your pride and joy?

    Cheers
    Paul

I have done the same with regards to writing a note, ages ago for me though. In Tesco's too as well I think. Anyway they parked very very close to my car, and the car was old and rotten, something like a Cavalier, but anyway I left a snotty note. But...although they parked ridiculously close to mine, just cause there car is old etc I shouldn't have been snotty about that.

That "is" chavvish and a charming thought too...

    That is funny stuff dude.

Ditto. I do all my shopping online. Only go out into the real world the odd time for top ups etc.

    Well I have already voiced my opinion in the General Chat section. But to repeat breifly;

    I don't have kids
    I don't park in P+C Spaces
I don't think people should either if there are normal spaces free
    But...
I wouldnt get all irate about it if I saw someone doing so
There are more concerning morally wrong issues we all take part in that I would be concerned about more.

Maybe he wouldnt. Yeah there's nothing wrong in taking care of your car, but in my book, you have a car, its yours, you clean it, do whatever you wish to it, you also take the responsibility to park it in a PUBLIC car park where there are people with similar standards as us and not so similar and don't evolve there lives around there cars.

If I park in a car park, I don't park over 2 spaces and i don't park in a mothers bay, yes I'd be gutted if it got dented or scratched but it was my choice and my risk in parking it there.

You're more likely to get your car scratched or keyed by parking over 2 bays anyway for being a dickhead (dickhead = isn't personal to you consilio, just personal to everyone that does it)

    Well said dude.

See - that comment is completely unfair. What a dick! Sorry arthurfuxate, but there is no need for that - talk about lowering yourself dude.

Was said very much as a joke hence the "waits for a bite" comment...sorry

i personaly solve the problem of close parkers by taking the liberty of moving there car out the way so i can get into mine, a quick call to a pal with a van hook on the tow rope and out of the way goes there car, must give them a fair wee shock when they get back but it serves them right for parking so stupidly, im still waiting to have the rope attached 1 day and the person to come out lol chow
