Hi,

My S3 has now done nearly 17K miles and for the last few thousand I've begun to notice a vibration and very slight wobble from the wheel and through the floor panel at 70mph and upwards. All of the wheels have been properly balanced.

With the exclusion of buckled alloys, can anyone shed some light on the possible cause?

I take it buckled wheels would not be covered under warranty?

Don't rule out one of the balancing weights falling off the wheels, this is quite common especially in washing the car etc.

Start with the inexpensive route and get this checked out first you may be pleasantly surprised!

I would check for flat spots on your tyres too.

Do you feel it through the steering wheel?

if not it's a problem with the rears'

Yes, I felt it quite badly through the steering wheel initially, but after balancing the wheels twice it has reduced. I feel more of a wobble in the car than the wheel now.
