Request: Someone with Bose

hey guys - strange request but can someone please post up a picture of the front speaker grill which has the silver strip with the bose logo on it?

I want to know if the Bose logo is painted on, is it raised or just a sticker?

Also, is there a part number for these grills or the silver strip? or does someone not like theirs and consider a swap?

Don't "think" its painted, the demo I had today i'm sure its embossed.

AFAIK the speaker grills on the A3 Bose or not are plastic welded on, so it is not a straight forward swap. Easily do-able though!

German e bay has them on quite a bit.

And the silver strip comes attached to the grills the BOSE writing is 100% embossed!

Speaker Grill - Left - 8P0 035 419 (Non Bose)
Speaker Grill - Right - 8P0 035 420
Add E59 for Platinum grey or 4PK for soul black to the end of part numbers.

Speaker Grill - Left - 8P0 035 419 A (Bose)
Speaker Grill - Right - 8P0 035 420 A
Add E59 for Platinum grey or 4PK for soul black to the end of part numbers.


Trim for speaker - Left - 8P0 853 713 2ZZ (for Bose speaker Grill)
Trim for speaker - Right - 8P0 853 714 2ZZ

All part number the same for both 3 and 5 door cars.
 
is the trim the silver plate that has "bose" on it?

i would still like some close up pics guys...thanks :D
 
Yep the trim is the silver bit.

Here is the exploded parts diagrams.



You need both part 12 & 13 for each side to replace your standard covers.
Just noticed, thats the 5 door card not like your 3 door but the part numbers are the same.
 
Sorry, best I could do with phone camera. I'm not sure if it's plastic or a metal strip but it is embossed.
