Maintenance

Hi,

I'm looking at including maintenance with my 3 year PCP package on an S3, and I just wanted your thoughts as to if it would be worth it over the 3 years.

The maintenance is £32 per month (£1152 over the 3 years)

I'm guessing i'll do about 12k miles a year, so heres what I think i'll need to replace in that period

2x service = £700
1x 4 tyres = £400
1x front brakes = £not a clue!
anything else?

Worth it?

Check to make sure that wear and tear items are included in the package as usually tyres and brake pads aren't included.

but assuming they are then within 3 yrs i reckon you will need the following.

3 - services (14k miles apart approx) £800-£900

2 sets of tyres (i got 18k out of mine at a push) - £800

1 pair of Discs - £100

2 pair of pads - £100

Yep, checked that and all included, but i dont think i'd need as much as you say becuase some of it will occur right at the end of the deal, eg

1st service @14k
2nd service @ 28k
deal ends at 36k, next service due after 42k

1st set of tyres @ 18k
deal ends at 36k, tyres needed at 36k (no use to me)

£200 for discs and brakes after ?

Also check that you don't get charged for any life left in a tyre, we have a maint pack on our company cars, if the tyre gets destroyed from a puncture and has 75 % of the tread left then they will only cover 25 % of the cost of the tyre, just check the small print !
