I think it is about time that I posted pics and spec of my 2.0TDI A3

I would say its 90% complete - I just have to get it remapped and source some aluminium trim for the interior, I am also considering a 2005> rear bumper splitter (with the black centre) and maybe a facelift or flat bottomed steering wheel.

Anyway, I hope you like and all comments and suggestions welcome ( I know it will not to be everyones cup of tea but I think I have modified it perfectly and subtley)

When I got it:

i really like mudflaps on cars , i might consider them on my black s3 and get them colour coded

Best colour too. Looks spot on, always loved those wheels on A3's.:respekt:

nice subtle mods which have only added to the look of the car, nice work

Very nice Boydie, I'm very interested in the S3 gear knob and hand brake sleeve. How hard is it to install those?

How do you take the hand sleeve off?

Thanks in advance.

thanks a lot for the feedback guys - much appreciated since most of you do not like the modifying scene much!

the hand brake and gear knob are an easy fit - the hand brake is slightly harder but there are instructions - basically you take a thin screw driver to the back of it and push down or up to release the clip (which you will see in the replacement knob)

the gear knob is easy once you see how to remove the original one!

thanks again :D

i think the mudflaps at the back are bobbins - would look cleaner without

Looking good - those wheels are pure sex !

I priced up the flat bottomed wheel from the TT with VAGPARTS (I'd need the TT one as I've got DSG) and including the bag (as my 05 has the earlier shape) you are looking at about £800 plus VAT.

Paul

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK forget that wheel then lol £800!!! that's a joke!

Thanks for the comments :D

I could offer you mine - I've found an S3 replacement to fit to my S-Line...

HAHA get back to your own forum 8L boy :p

Guys, I would need a bonnet off you too to fit a facelift front bumper!

Thats the next project anyway

unfortunately it did not include the gear surround but a quick phone call to www.vagparts.com and it was quickly sorted with the ASN 10% discount :) also I had forgotten my account number which they sorted out so thumbs up to them!

also, some pics from a local Audio Show which I came 2nd in Entry Level SQ - my first time competing so I am very pleased! :)

thanks guys - fitted the trim within 5mins but the ash tray put up a struggle then I fitted it wrongly :( so had to do it again!!

Don't know what my decision is about them yet but let me know what you think....

loving the wheels and the way the car sits.

number plates look too fussy though.

Quick question what is your opinion on the "Milltek Cat Back Exhaust - resonated!"

Made any difference to the exhaust note ? I know it's a diesel before anyone starts, but can you improove the exhaust note of an oil burner ?

Concidering one for my 2.0TDi.

Wheels first though and I have seen the perfect candidate from Momo.

Paul

the exhaust is nice - mainly a cosmetic pleasure but there is a little extra noise but nothing annoying or embaressing!

unfortunately you do get the wooshy BOOO noise in lower gears when changing

i like you car!

looks awesome!
good job!

keep it like this u are in the good way

lol doing ok tdi liner :p

thanks for the comments - the car has since been deringed at the back and hopefully getting my front seat backs soon!

are you in work viewing the pics? they are taken from my bebo account and some work accounts don't allow that site!
