What bhp ?.. std S3.

Possible that most people wouldn't have put theirs on a RR yet as still being run-in etc.. but for those that have, what sort of bhp is/was your S3 putting out in standard form?.. :icon_thumright:

I know temperature, fuelling, time of day, which way wind is blowing etc all make a difference but all that aside just wandering..

I came across an interesting website a while back. They basically test lots of cars to see if the actual wheel horsepower / torque figures match the manufacturer's claims.

The results for the S3 are very good showing power / torque at the wheels to be the same as the claimed output. I find this odd as I would expect a big loss in the 4wd system, maybe Audi are stating the actual wheel figures rather than flywheel?

Some other cars do not fare so well and show much less wheel power than claimed.

It is surprising.. especially as other Audi quattro cars came out lower than manufacturer's claims.
