This A3 is my first diesel, i've read a few post on here about the oil and it seems it does drop??
Well i've been checking mine since Feb 07 when i got it and it hasn't lost any at all. is this right???

Our Jeep GC 2.7L is just the same, so why do some drop and other not???

same with mine - only checked it once since i got it in march and it hasn't fell at all (bottle in boot still sealed)

Suppose it also depends on mileage, done 12,000m (20,000km) since April, and managed to put in 1.5litres.

The GC has 77000 on it and we use it for towing mainly, but i've never put oil in it, we've had it two years???

So is it a case that some engines do and some don't??

Mines done 4500 and not used a drop of oil
