I've recently fitted some new RS4 alloys to my A3 and am in need of some locking bolts.

I've found some 30mm shank length tapered ones on eBay (27181) but the rest of my bolts measure 28.5mm (27222) - wondered if the 30mm ones will fit?

right, easy way to find out.

Take off wheel and put existing bolt through hole in wheel so you see how much thread is sticking out. Mark or measure this protruding length

Then mark another 2 mm on the bolt and put the bolt into the hub and wind in to the 2nd mark, this will equate to a longer bolt. Check the hub rotates without interference

If it does then you should be fine
