Initial thoughts:

The Audi S3 is one of the most awesome cars i have ever driven. Every aspect of this vehicle is near perfect. The User Interface between the navigation/ DIS and general controls is untouchable.

Suspension - The suspension is pretty firm, but is what you'd expect from a car of this nature. Havent really tested the handling out too much just yet as the tyres are still new and seem to lose grip on high speed cornering. Allthough the demo i initially frove with 4k miles was great. The active steering also work a treat, seems better than BMW's.

Bucket Seats - The bucket seats are an absolute b*stard for rear seat passengers. However, im the driver, so i dont car. They are extremely comfotable and even more so on long journeys. Plus i think they look mad. However, due the softness of the leather, these look as though they will easily wear.

Flat Botton Steering Wheel - A must in this car. Makes a huge difference.

EFM - Dont really like the way they close, it feels like im going to break the knob every time i twist it.

Navigation/ Phone - Again, the navigation is better than the BMW one. more intuitive and user friendly. Although, the control knobs move in the wrong direction. Phone is on level par with BMW's. You get full phonebook transfer and is fully accesible via the multi functional wheel.

Every one who has driven it so far, mainly people with M3's, Bentley, Porsches etc reckon the S3 is a maniac of a car, and is a worthwhile buy.

Overall rating is 5 out of 5 i think the car is perfect in just about every sense, except the Bose. I and a few others think the Logic 7 is far more superior than the Bose. But this can be down to personal preference.

P.S The exhaust note is also great, i read a few posts about it not sounding all that smart, but it sounds great on movement. And i also get the diesel clatter noise my mates Edition 30 GTI makes on start up. Standard i guess on the 2.0T FSI?

THe pics dont do the colour or the car justice. it looks so much better in real life. A real head turner. The tints are also a lot lighter than the pictures make them out to be. Sorry for the long post, but i thought id share my inital thoughts with you. Im going to find a country lane now.

What a beautiful looking car mate, and what a great spec  The alloys look awesome!!

Are these an option on the S3? I am considering RS4 alloys, but after seeing your pictures, i might be changing my mind :)

Just realised you are from Solihull, i'm sure i have seen your Beemer around before. I work just across the road from the Audi dealers on Stratford Road.

Did you get it from there?

That looks great mate!
Best colour by far.
I like your tints, very subtle, complement the colour well.
If you don't mind me asking, how much we're the tints?
You really did tick every box and then some didn't ya! ;)

Very very nice !! I bet you're one happy chap ? Couldn't agree more with your write up, it feels perfect for me too, i love it.

Enjoy mate !

Lovely car mate and great spec. Bit of a difference from the BMW though hey?? What made you go from a big saloon to a hot hatch and was your BM a 535d sport?

Gorgeous car mate. Thinking of Sprint Blue with the bucket seats myself. Got a feeling an order will be placed before the week is over! :icon_thumright:

jeez why did you swap the bm? that looks nice too!

Thanks guys. Yeh the BMW was a 06/56 535D Sport. That truly did have every single option. And lost double figures in the 10 months i owned it. Bearing in mind i got a £5k discount when new.

IH786 - Yeh i live in Solihull. I didnt buy it from Sytner Solihull, but am on the road a lot. The wheels arent an option. I had difficulty sourcing them from the UK so imported them from Germany. I'll pass on the sellers details if you wish.

Jamiekip - Yeh, Sprint Blue rocks, im madly in love with it. PM sent ref tints. The car was a cancelled order. Somebody pulled out last minute and ordered nearly everything. I was lucky, as they kept his deposit and knocked it off my price.

Mo - Looks like we both got ours at a similar time. Glad to see someone else is as infatuated with it as i am.

daviscup - Bu it, dont hesitate. Do what i did, ring around dealers across the UK to see if they have a cancelled order etc.

Steve184/ Hotscar - The 535d was a truly magnificent car. It had every option inc head up/ navi, tv, active cruise/ steering etc etc. But it didnt suit me. im only 23 and everybody thought it was my dads car. Plus ive always been a fan of hot hatches, ever since id passed. So i wanted to go back to it. And the BM seemed to be depreciating like f*ck.

I seem to turn so many heads on my daily commutes, and had the staff at my local Aston Martin/ Jag dealership creming over it. S3 rocks, although it wants me to lose my license.

Very nice mate, wheels look really good

A5GUR, There are not many S3s in Solihull. I have only seen a silver one on the Warwick Road. Look out for a red one cos it might be me!!

defy - cheers for that mate, need to learn how to do that. Tyre slick comes out good in that photo doesent it. :applaus:

prt57 - There is not many in Birmingham never mind Solihull. I work smack bang in the middle of Birmingham City Centre. My office over looks a very busy road. I very rarely see an S3, come to thikn of it, i have only seen one silver one, compared to at least six different regular F430's (baros is one of them, he's meant to be a top footballer :shutup2: ). The S3 has alway only appealed to a handful of like minded people. Obviously there are faster cars, or more luxurious cars, but the S3 owners know why they chose an S3. Im always around so if i see ya, i'll flash. Dont think ive seen you yet though.

Give me a few months and you will see a white S3 around Solihull & Birmingham (I hope!).

I saw a black S3 in the Sainsbury's carpark in Marshall Lake yesterday and a Sprint Blue S3 parked in a drive in Nechells of all places

Was it early or late evening last week by chance?

Congrats on the car mate - they are awesome motors

6 months in now and it still makes me smile:)

Car looks great, glad you are happy with it, enjoyed the last 7 months in mine they are great alround cars.

I am very interested in the wheel upgrade you have as they look very nice, presumably not a dealer offerfing? Could you give some details on them such as the offset and any issues this has caused over the standard 18" wheels such as arch rubbing or making the ride too hard.

Thanks
