Puncture today - advice on new tyre

On the way home from Yorkshire to Kent this afternoon the car started making a familiar noise. Pulled over and the n/s/r was flat - ripped to pieces on the inner rim. Readied the space saver but the wheel was jammed on so the nice RAC man applied his hammer which got it off. Then set off on the 200 miles left at 50mph! More amusing was tailgaiting an A4 Allroad with a space saver on too

So, I need to get a replacement Continental tyre (A3 Sportback 170 quattro) - 225/40 R18 SportContact2. What sort of price should I be able to get these for?

Also, will the space saver need replacing? I thought I read somewhere that they are only good for a certain amount of miles?

Thanks Chris. £114 for a 225/40 R18 92Y from mytyres. Best price locally is £126 fitted so far.
