replacing ash tray cover in A3

Hi all,

I'm thinking of replacing the ash tray cover and gear surround in my A3 with the aluminium finish as the black one is scratched. Being a complete novice I just wondered how easy it is to do myself and has anypne got any clear instructios/photos of how to do it.

do you know how much the trim is?

the whole kit is upwards of £250 from audi

i have searched ebay too and there is never a set up for sale!

and its very easy - it just clips off when opened! cant say much else really because its so simple!

Thanks for the help and diagrams. Have found the parts at VAGparts on the net. They are about £70 plus vat for the 2 bits.
