Hi, how do you keep your S3 silver mirror covers clean and shiny. I tied polishing mine up with some Mer and the results were patchy. The best I have found so far is to wipe down with a wash leather after washing to leave them without spots etc.
What do you use to keep yours in tip top condition??

Cheers, prt

Mine kept on streaking no matter how I dried the car off.
I tried using the JEFF's Prime strong and it appears to have done the trick. Gives a spotless finish, matt looks good, but sihne with a bit of sunshine.
I also use this on the chrome grill too.
Good water beading too.

You really have to dry them immediately after they are washed or you will end up with spots. Always used Autoglym's super resin polish on my cars. Works a treat on the mirror housings too!

I just use a piece of kitchen roll dipped in hot water from the kettle, rub it over the casing, then dry it off with another piece of kitchen roll.

Ordinarily I wouldn't have used this method, I was doing it to remove some bird ****, but I have to admit it turned out much better than drying it with a chamois. Left no streaks either. So now after I've finished washing the car I always do this.
