Electric Shocks

Hi Guys, Does anyone else suffer from electric shocks from their A3s?

I keep getting quite nasty shocks from the A3 after a drive, only just started really.

Car is garaged every night.. if that makes a difference

Anyone else or is it just me?

Also I dont have any problems with the fabia vRS

I don't personally but my wife often gets a static shock when she touches the doors. I also say it's her electric personality!

I get the odd ones but nothing that takes me by surprise!

My GF got one from my A3 yesterday, i gotta say that i have never got one from it.

i used to get really bad electric shocks from other cars ive had but never had any from the the two A3s ive had

Yes.
I have got into the habit of 'thumping' the car when I get out though.
Just a quick thump with the side of my fist to 'earth' me.
Better that than the helluva jolt you get when you gently touch metal with a finger.

To be fair,it's probably the car getting it's own back on me for hating it with a passion.

I used to get shocked by my ex's Punto all the time, she would just p*ss herself laughing at me! Stupid left hand drive car getting its own back for saying its been built the wrong way round!!

I used to get the odd shock on my Ibiza once a well or so, but so far nothing on my A3.

Perhaps you need to try different trousers or shoes

True,I do get more shocks if I wear a particular pair of shoes.
I enjoy thumping the car though.

the amount of static build up on your car can depend upon the weather.
