I see from the latest update to the VIN number details in the Audi parts catalogue that Audi have allocated VIN numbers for the A3 beginning on 1st June 2007 for the Brussels plant. The 11th digit in the VIN for an A3 is now A for Ingolstadt and B for Brussels.

I wonder if the plant will be producing any A3s for the UK market.
 
And this information is useful for what reason?

I couldn't really care less where my audi was built - as long as it was still an audi and an A3 and to my spec and delivered when promised!
 
Trust me it makes a difference. If Audi decided to build A3s in the UK, I'd refuse to buy one tbh.

Some of us are interested in these sort of things and some are not! Some of us visit Audi plants to see cars being built and some don't. Some of us visit the Audi Forums at these plants and some don't.

If you not interested, fine. But some of us are.

Why is that now ?
Honda UK plants,for example,are a great success.
