    Smile US v's UK MPG

Hi just taken delivery of my A3 Quattro, superb.

Whilst messing with the DIS noticed the MPG settings were set to US MPG, this would mean the MPG calculations for the trip computer would be 20% lower as the US gallon is bigger.

    Anyone else noticed this?

yeah, that's about right, but you can change it to UK MPGs.

They've obviously gone for the one size fits all DIS as it can also be set to L\100KM and KMPG.

US gallon is smaller than the UK gallon - 3.8l versus 4.5

Thanks I've already changed it to UK MPG's, hopefully it will now show a bit more than 19MPG average.

Yes Macduff you're right I was getting confused, but by changing to UK MPG it should increase the trip MPG's.
