Audi's RNS-E offer on A4

Has anyone asked the question when ordering an A3 whether they can have the same offer as currently on the A4, ie. the RNS-E for £500?

I was looking through the pricing spec for the R8 today as I was in the dealer and its cheaper to spec RNS-E on the R8 than the S3 by about £350!!

I just ordered the RNS-E for my new A4, was told by the dealer that the £500 offer only applies to the A4, to spec it on the A3 will still cost 2k+.

Of course they won't honour it on the A3 - they're only doing it on the A4 to shift some stock - there'll be all manner of offers on the A4 over the coming months in the run-up to the repacement model early next year.
