Right, you know you can get your DIS to scroll through all sorts of checks ?
There's one that displays an oil can and "OIL MIN"

Now,does that mean the car reckons the oil is actually at minimum now,or is it just checking that it will display minimum when it reaches minimum ?

I could,of course, read the manual but my glovebox needs three grown men with arms like popeye to close, courtesy of hundreds of CD's and a black towel I use to cover the seat when I'm carrying a curry home.

tut tut! That's what the curry hooks are for in the boot!

And I think it's the latter but I can't be ***** to check either.

It won't tell you when you turn on the ignition, it'll wait until you're bombing down the motorway at 90mph and then come on just to scare the living crap out of you ;)

As far as I know, the self-check tests just goes through it all and if there is something wrong or something that needs topping up/changing then it will displayed on the DIS after it is complete.

Hey don't 'DIS' (sic) the towel.
Note the fact it's black.
Matches the interior trim.
I'm sub-zero me.

Christ knows what I'll do if I go for natural leather trim in my 159...

There I was thinking it was an old black towel to wipe your hands on each time you have to fill up with oil!

If you're sub zero we'll have to start calling you Ice B !
