Milltek exhaust for the new S3

looks ok, but don't like the sound it makes. All you heard is the engine.

i think the stock exhaust is excellent as it is, i did think about this mod, but decided the money/performance/look and sound isnt worth it

If the new S3 is anything like the old 1.8T one I can tell you exactly how much power high flow cats, downpipes and back boxes are worth...

sod all bhp and next to sod all lbft.

The downpipe and cats were not restrictive on the old car - it's doubtful that they will be on the new one either but this remains to be seen. There is precious little extra to gain with these bolt ons over a decent remap. IMO.

Thanks for the replies guys

First i have to say that i'm not after the sound, but after the performance. I heard that the Mk5 GTI responds very well when remapped in combination with an aftermarket exhaust (espeacialy if it has a large diameter downpipe).

My ex car had a racing exhaust and it was louder than a sport motorbike. It was fun, it was cool, but want that no more :)

Hi Mate
I have checked this out for you
These are not going to be available until March I am afraid and there are no indication on pricings yet as this is sooooo new
Sorry , but hey I will keep nagging if you like ;)
Sarah

Thanks, let me know when do you have a price for the exhaust.
Maybe we'll do some business ;)
