Crap boot light!

Anyone else notice that the boot light is REALLY dim?

Anyone changed theirs for a brighter bulb? If so what kinda bulb did you get? I can see that you can get LED ones but i aint too keen on those.

There is an LED kit you can buy, its much much brighter..

Has anyone done this? I was thinking about reaplcing all my interior LED bulbs with LEDs.

Would be interested to know if has been done and what it is like...

i did this last year in a 2000 mk4golf.

iirc the interior headlining bulbs should use the same housing.

1x festoon led case (small)
2x festoon led case (large)
2x 501 sidelight leds.

Made a massive difference and would reccommend it.

Not too sure about the glovebox light as this was a **** to get out.

For a few quid they could have put one light on each side of the boot, called it the 'Rear Lighting Pack' and charged you £75!!!!

1 brighter lamp or 2 of the same would have been better.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to say i have upgraded all my interior lights to white LEDs car looks really nice at night. Going to buy some more LED bulbs for the Glovebox and the boot.

Will post some pics up in the next few days!
