Lost Key A3 3.2 Quattro

Recently lost the key to my A3.

I have managed to get a new blade and remote fob off ebay. But need to get this programmed and cut.

I had been quoted £150 for new key.

Anyone know how to get this all done on the cheap and successfully??

When I picked up my car the keys came with a tab that had a code on. The dude said not to lose it cos it's the only thing that has the keycode on it and new keys cost £350 to encode and it can only be done in Germany.

I hope there's another way bud

It was brand new so I'd hope so...correct them please if they're wrong cos I know no different
