I was going out straight from work, girlfriend met me at work, I drove the car out of the multi story to avoid any accidents.

Later she came to pick me up and was waiting out side the pub. 'i think I have just caught the wheel on the curb' .......the irony.

That makes me want to cry. Thankfully my gf doesn't drive but if she ever learns she ain't going anywhere near my car.

My worst nightmare too, especially with my five month old Star alloys! One of the wheels from my previous set were kerbed by my wife too. Not suggesting there's a trend or anything, but at least she owned up straight away ...

I can recommend a repairer just outside Hemel Hempstead in Herts - click here for their website. They did a fab job on the aforementioned wheel before I sold the set on eBay.

Hi married blonde, do you know of any alloy wheel repair specialists near the brighton area?

Thanks
Brighton Audi did an excellent job on my TT for me - not sure of the price but think it is about £60 per wheel.

I'm southampton way so I'm affraid I can;t help. But my local whicked wheels repaired onoe of my CH's perfectley.

I would guess brighton Audi either had the rim resprayed by their own body shop or used the local whicked wheels. Southampton Audi damaged my mates TT rims twice and used the body shop both times to correct it.

moral of this thread - never let your missus drive your car unless you are blind drunk or sedated!! I always feel on edge when she drives, well, given thats its at a salvagers, used to drive my a3.

She did a similar blonde maneouvre one night when she picked us up from town - she made it all the way back and was driving into my drive and managed to catch the back wheel on a big metal gate hook and put a massive dent in the middle of one of the arms of the alloy......lovely stuff.

looks like your missus decided to do a proper job with that curb

Thanks, good to know a repairer in my home town.
They're actually based in Flaunden, near Bovingdon in some units near a farm. Took a while for me to find it! I got a 16" SE wheel refurbed for just £35 cash, and the repair quality was excellent.

Well you should have done like me! I managed to get dumped by my ex girlfriend and ordered my self a new S3 in black! Not a chance she will be driving that! I guess I'm living an early life crisis! ;)

Looks like an 18" sportsline wheel. Is that correct? I have a brand new boxed Audi wheel. Are you interested?
STEVE...........

Ouch thats exactly the reason the only woman that gets to drive my car is my mum

Nah she has had loads of decent cars in the last 20 yrs and she is yet to damage one in any way. She only uses mine if she cant use her TT

yup how much?

£150, and I'm not too far away from you, I could meet you half way say around junction 27 on the M1 ......

Let me know. The wheel is brand new, still in the box, cost nearly 300 but I never used it.... need the room in the garage.

Claire has managed to ding 2 of my rims but has never marked any of hers - go figure...

My g\f is not even allowed in my garage!

I like to eliminate all eventualities!

Good call, mine can't find her way to the garage, not even for the mop bucket

Thanks to Steve I now have a new shiny wheel again! Now just to get the knackered one refurbed

my girlfreind did exactly the same! i'd had a few too many so she drove having had none at all then clipped a kerb at 50mph! - and after a 20min lecture on not kerbing them!!!!! luckily one of my mates is a mobile wheel refurbisher.

A lot of swearing and shouting took place on the journey home!

Thankfully my gf doesn't drive but if she ever manages to learn and I ever let her drive my car then the rules will be simple - you kerb the alloy, you replace it with a new one, end of.

yeah, she offered to pay but i said no, im just too nice! - i can also keep reminding her of it in future arguments too! like they do to us:p

looks like im not the only one then :p

ive never once managed to touch an alloy on anything thatll do damage, and in the 18 months my mum ran my current wheels before i got an A3 and stole them, she managed to make a newly refurbed set of TT alloys look ruined! i just dont get how though! i would refurb them, but ill be changing wheels soon, so ill sell them back to her :p

thankfully my girlfriend doesnt drive.....

downside is i have to walk home from the pub, upside is my wheels stay in one piece!
