Young lad here is interested in a used 318ci,but it has aftermarket privacy glass coating on the back and rear side windows.
Definitely a coating, rather than actual tinted glass.
Anyone any experience/knowledge of how easy this stuff is to remove ?

I thought that too,but not sure what will remove the glue residue ?
Thought about Ammonia, but wouldn't want that spilling on the interior.
End up with seats that look like a Monica Lewinski dress.

Take a black bin bag, soak it in soapy water and place over the tints. Leave to sit in the sun or as it is winter heat with a hair dryer. The tints will just lift off.

Removing any remaing glue is pretty straight forward. Most will come away with the tint, the remaining residue will come off with windowlene (sp) or seomthing similar.

I did my nephews Corsa a few months ago, it looked good but the workmanship was bad, I used a hair dryer and then panel wash to get theresidue off. Seemed to do the trick.
