Can someone help me settle an argument?

I say that the V6 3.2 is significantly heavier than the new S3's 2.0 because the 3.2 has a cast-iron block whereas the new S3's 2.0 is all alloy.

Anyone know what the relative weights of the two engines are?

No idea, but I'll bet my arm that the 2.0 is lighter.

oh yes, by quite a bit too,

don't know actual engine weights and as the cars are not the same spec other than the engine its difficult but the 2.0T quattro is quoted by Audi as 1430KG the 3.2 quattro is quoted as 1495KG

not sure other than the brakes what's different between these two, obviously S3 has different bodykit and extra options and quoted as 1455kg

SO the 3.2 is at least 60KG heavier than the 2.0T maybe the full 65KG, that's quite a bit of extra weight sat just under the bonnet and its high up and forward... no wonder its a little prone to understeer.. ;)
