Timing Belt 2.0 TDi

Just wondering if anyone knows when the timing belt should be changed on a 2.0 TDi Sport. My car is going in tomorrow with having covered 61K miles.

VW have changed the replacement to 4 years or 60k not sure if Audi reccomend the same. You might want to consider seeing how much a specialest would charge or even try VW or Skoda as there rates will be cheaper

It's 80k according to Audi.

Yep, eventually found out from Audi customer services that it's 80K, even though I was told 60K from a dealer. If I hadn't of investigate this I would of been out 400 quid a bit sooner that I hoped.

Not sure about the mileage but thought the time interval had been revised to every 4 years....

VW have issued a TSB for the cambelt, i'm not sure why VW quote 60k and Audi 80k, even though its the same engine ... I think in this instance your dealer is right.
