S3 - MY 2008?

I recall that when I ordered my original S3, there were significant improvements & upgrades for MY 2000 as against the original MY 1999 spec, including the addition of ESP. I also remember that I got a better deal for the car, because the dealers were more willing to discount as the initial rush for the new model had subsided by mid 2000 when I took delivery.

With the above in mind, I wonder how many potential new S3 owners will be hanging on for the MY 2008 version?

I was only offered £700 off my 2001 S3, not much of a discount when you consider the cost of the car. Some dealers I spoke to wouldn't even go that far. Will I hang on? No, I don't think so.
